Community Resilience: A Transition Theory Perspective Prof. Geoff Wilson (Plymouth University, UK) Mittwoch, 11.11. 2015, 19:30 HS2 SOWI Vortragssprache Englisch, Fragen & anschließende Diskussion auf Deutsch The lecture first explores the links between resilience and transition theory, and will then discuss how path dependencies affect resilience at community level, the impacts of globalisation on different community trajectories, and the importance of ’social memory‘ for understanding constraints and opportunities for developing community resilience. Prof. Geoff Wilson is an established international expert on community resilience. He has published a seminal book entitled ‚Community resilience and environmental transitions‘ (published by Routledge) and has recently worked in two large EU projects focusing on community resilience using transition theory perspectives.
